cycle locking

Warnings are now going out after the latest speight of cycle thefts, which saw the locks stolen along with the cycles. Following these thefts, cyclists are recommended to take the following precautions:

1. Register your bike for free on this link.

2. If your bike is stolen, report it straight away to the police on 101, and have it flagged as stolen on your account as soon as possible.

3. If your bike is recovered and you have registered it, you will be contacted and told your cycle is safe.

4. Lock your bike safely – it is always best to use two different locks to make it harder to steal as the thief needs different tools for each lock.
