henna ink - dangerousThe Dangerous Henna Ink

Trading Standards Officers are searching for a highly dangerous Henna Ink which is currently on the market, mainly within the Asian marketing community.

Officers have already confiscated 6,700 cosmetic items from just one shop after a teenager who purchased one there developed severe scarring.

The ink, which is popular at Indian and Pakistani weddings and religious ceremonies, and which have been imported from abroad, are said to have dangerously high levels of Benzene and Lead.

Anyone with information should call Customer Direct on: 01622 626520 or 01622 626523 and ask for Newham Trading Standards, before there are many more innocent people scarred for life.
