Members of the public are receiving e-mails informing them that they have had a major win on the National Lottery. BE CAREFUL – The only people who would receive an e-mail from National Lottery in the event of a win are those in the UK who play on-line or by subscription.

REMEMBER-

You can’t have a win notification if you didn’t play the lottery on-line.

You can’t have a win if you didn’t play the lottery.

Does the letter/e-mail tell you how much you have won?

If yes – it is a fake!

Does the e-mail come from a yahoo, hotmail or similar address?

If yes – it’s a fake!

DO NOT PASS ON ANY BANK DETAILS.

DO NOT SEND ANYONE ANY MONEY.

REPORT THE LETTER OR E-MAIL TO THE

NATIONAL FRAUD INTELLIGENCE BUREAU

or telephone: 0300 123 2040
