Members of the public are receiving e-mails informing them that they have had a major win on the National Lottery. BE CAREFUL – The only people who would receive an e-mail from National Lottery in the event of a win are those in the UK who play on-line or by subscription.
REMEMBER-
You can’t have a win notification if you didn’t play the lottery on-line.
You can’t have a win if you didn’t play the lottery.
Does the letter/e-mail tell you how much you have won?
If yes – it is a fake!
Does the e-mail come from a yahoo, hotmail or similar address?
If yes – it’s a fake!
DO NOT PASS ON ANY BANK DETAILS.
DO NOT SEND ANYONE ANY MONEY.

NATIONAL FRAUD INTELLIGENCE BUREAU
