BALCONY TILING – HOW CAN THEY APPROVE THIS?
As part of the building improvements, those of us who had balconies have just had them tiled as part of the Decent Homes Scheme.
The end result has only served to make the balcony so much harder for residents to keep clean and even make use of any garden furniture which is on legs, as the finishing of the tiling is far from what I would call efficient.
The graining on the tiles makes sweeping them almost impossible, as the grain and the joints run in opposite directions.
There are massive gaps between the tiling and the edges of the balcony, especially around the drain pipe, where ther is almost space for another complete large tile.
On asking Keepmoat about this I was informed that this was the specification laid out by Tower Hamlets Homes.
