EE is recalling all of its Power Bars over concerns they could overheat and pose a fire risk.

It comes after the company announced a separate recall of the portable chargers in August over similar concerns.

On its website on Wednesday, EE warned customers to stop using the Power Bars straight away and to return them to one of the company’s stores.

It said it had identified “a very small number of incidents where Power Bars have overheated in circumstances that could cause a fire safety risk.”

We’re recalling all EE Power Bars. This is just a precaution, but we want to make sure all our customers are safe.

If you have a Power Bar, you should stop using it straight away and hand it in to one of our stores.

We are taking this action because we are aware of a very small number of further incidents where Power Bars have overheated in circumstances that could cause a fire safety risk.

EE recalled thousands of the Power Bars in August after a fault was found in some of the free chargers that can cause them to overheat and even explode.

A medical student in Aberdeen tweeted a picture of her burns to her hand that she claimed was caused by an exploding Power Bar.

“Ty [Thank you] EE for the powerbar which exploded, almost burned down our house + left my hand like this: #Firework,” Katy Emslie, 26, wrote on Twitter in July.
