PHISHING WARNING TO FAKE BANK LETTERS
The following article was on Facebook today:
My partner received this letter today and all looks legitimate. We were very suspicious so instead of calling the number provided in the letter, we googled number of Lloyds bank and spoke to their fraud team.. THIS LETTER IS A CON!!…looks 100% genuine. They want you to call the FREEPHONE number provided as one of THEIR people are waiting on the other side to collect your private information that you think your giving for security reasons. It’s not just Lloyds, they are targeting everyone with a bank account. If in doubt…find out your banks number through the Internet/phone book NEVER use the number they provide in the letter. Be careful, don’t get caught out, these con artists are out to catch you out!!
Be careful, you have been warned!
